Capsule wardrobe

"Capsule wardrobe" by oddfrog on Polyvore

I copied AJ from AJ wears clothes and put together a capsule wardrobe for myself. We are temporarily moving into our spare room while we have the builders in to spruce up (completely change) our en-suite bathroom.  So I have to put most of my clothes in storage because Oscar and I will be sharing a cupboard.  I cant believe how many clothes I have accumulated since I started blogging!  This especially hit me when I saw my dear friend Catherine’s wardrobe!  She has just the essentials and she is still culling away.  She always dresses very well, so it can be done!  The question is can I do it?  So after being inspired by AJ and motivated by Catherine  I will be trying out my new capsule wardrobe.

If you want to see what goes on in a 5 piece wardrobe I highly suggest you read AJ’s post on the subject.

So cutting to the chase, here is what will be in my cupboard.  (I guess this is where I state that I cheated a bit and I added in a few extra pieces, because they are new and it felt like blasphemy to put them in storage).

  1. I think these are solid choices! Right around the time I got married I lived off a really limited capsule wardrobe because we were pretty much moving into a house right after we got back from the honeymoon, and I was so freed by the experience. Of course, I was excited to unpack all of my clothes once we settled in, but it definitely has made me want to continue weeding down my wardrobe until it’s PERFECT. I can’t wait to see how this goes for you!
